An almost full-length portrait depicting a woman standing in a long corridor. The woman has short grey hair, and is wearing a long dark jacket with a brooch, white shirt and dark trousers. Her hands are clasped in front of her in a relaxed manner, and she is holding a pair of spectacles. The background is a corridor setting with rich red carpets. The walls hold paintings in gold frames, and there is a red bench against the wall. There are chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and an arch as part of the corridor's architecture. At the end of the corridor is a bright window with stone tracery.
