Description
Watercolour drawing depicting the lying-in-state of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. The lying-in-state took place in Westminster Hall from Friday 5th April 2002 to Tuesday 9th April 2002 (the day of the funeral). Huge crowds came to pay their respects, with queues stretching at their longest from Westminster Hall, across Lambeth Bridge and all the way along the south bank to Southwark Cathedral.

The drawing gives a long view of the coffin attended by Gentlemen at Arms amongst the Westminster Hall setting.
