- Pencil drawing showing members of the public queuing in Victoria Tower Gardens to see the lying-in-state of Sir Winston Churchill in Westminster Hall after his death in 1965.
Dennis Flanders (1915-1994) was a British artist and draughtsman known for his topographical drawings of Britain. During his time with the St Paul?s Watch at the outbreak of the Second World War, Flanders produced many images of London, a large number of which are now in the possession of the Imperial War Museum. The Parliamentary Art Collection holds views by Flanders of the damage to the Palace of Westminster following air raids in 1941. - Date Created
