She is looking at St David. On the left is a woman wearing a blue dress with maroon drapery, with a blue scarf covering her head. In her right hand she carries a large book and in her left hand she carries a lit oil lamp. Below the figures, in the centre, reads 'Saint David for Wales' in black on a gold back. On either side is a leek and heraldic shields with lions. The scene is framed by gold and blue shell or flower motifs. A gothic stone archway frames the mosaic.
