Ornate wooden writing desk with black leather inlay. On the left and right of the desk surface are two cupboards with a joining bridge and aperture, which look like a castle with turrets. Each cupboard has carved folds in its central panel, and on the outside of each is a leg like a column with carved details. On the top are fleur de lis mouldings and a patterned metal grate running along the outside. Under the writing surface are three drawers with elaborate foliage carved into them. The legs are joined by two beams, the one facing being carved with patterns and a central Tudor rose. At the left and right of the desk sides, next to the drawers, are studs with carved foliage. Photographed against a plain background head-on.
